PUBG Mobile Japan and Higurashi: When They Cry Team Up in New Collaboration

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is teaming up with Higurashi: When They Cry for a limited-time campaign in Japan, which will add special voice cards and a challenge from Rena Ryūgū to the game.

The three special voice cards feature Rena (CV: Mai Nakahara), Keiichi Maebara (CV: Sōichirō Hoshi), and Satoko Hōjō (CV: Mika Kanai). They will include popular voice lines heard in the Higurashi: When They Cry – SOTSU anime series.

As for Rena’s challenge, players will receive a letter from her that challenges them to defeat three opponents with a melee weapon. Players will receive a Traveler Ticket for completing this challenge, and the tickets can be used to open up crates containing collaboration items featured in this event.

In addition, the official PUBG Mobile Japan’s Twitter account is hosting a giveaway with a chance to win a 5,000 yen (US$44.99) Amazon gift certificate. A total of 10 fans will have a chance at winning the certificate. The giveaway will end on October 11.

The PUBG Mobile Japan Twitter account is also hosting another giveaway that offers a chance to win a random signed shikishi board. There are three shikishi boards with Souichirou Hoshi’s signature, three with Mai Nakahara’s signature, and three with  Mika Kanai’s signature. The winners will be selected on October 7.

The collaboration started on September 30 and will run until October 14.
