Edens Zero’s Director Has Passed Away

The Edens Zero anime’s website has announced the passing of director Yūji Suzuki on September 9 at a hospital in Tokyo. 

The announcement was made on October 3, the same date as the 25-episode series’ final episode. A cause of death was not mentioned.

Prior to his role as Edens Zero‘s director, Suzuki had storyboarding and/or episode director credits on shows like Fairy Tail, Heybot!, and Cardfight!! Vanguard G Z, Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens, Talentless Nana, and Log Horizon: Destruction of the Round Table. He also contributed to the Summer 2021 anime Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy as action director and episode director.
