Anime Adaptations of Sugar Apple Fairytale, Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita Announced

The Kadokawa Beans Bunko website has revealed that the Sugar Apple Fairytale and Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita light novel series are getting anime adaptations. 

Sugar Apple Fairytale is set in the Highland Kingdom, where humans use fairies as labor. The story follows An, a young girl who decides to succeed her late mother and become a Silver Sugar Master, a special confectionary maker who can make sacred confectionary. An sets out to the royal capital to fulfill her goal, with the sharp-tongued fairy warrior Charl as her hired guard. 

Meanwhile, Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita features a protagonist who is reincarnated as Irene, a villainess in an otome game. Faced with a doomed ending, Irene tries to avoid her fate by attempting to become lovers with Claude, the “last boss” who is the source of her destruction flags.

Sugar Apple Fairytale is written by Miri Mikawa and illustrated by Aki. The 17-volume series ran from 2010 to 2015 and inspired a manga adaptation. As for Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita, the series, written by Sarasa Nagase and illustrated by Mai Murasaki, released its 9th volume on October 1 and also has a manga adaptation. The story originated from a web novel published on Shōsetsuka ni Narō.
