Studio Colorido’s Newest Anime Film Drifting Home Coming 2022 on Netflix

Netflix and Studio Colorido (A Whisker Away) announced during Netflix’s TUDUM online event a new feature-lengthed anime film titled Drifting Home (Ame o Tsugeru Hyōryū Danchi) coming in 2022. The first preview teaser trailer and key art were also revealed. It features Kosuke and his friends visiting a housing complex when a mysterious phenomenon occurs causing an entire ocean to appear. 

Hiroyasu Ishida (Penguin Highway director) will be directing the film and in charge of the screenplay with Hayashi Mori (Cells at Work! Code Black series composer) and Minaka Sakamoto (Babylon scriptwriter). Akihiro Nagae (A Whisker Away animation director) will serve as character designer, Fumi Kato (Burn the Witch animation director) as character designer assistant, Umitaro Abe (Penguin Highway music composer) as the music composer, Koji Yamamoto (Penguin Highway co-chief producer) in charge of planning and production, and planning by Twin Engine. 

Netflix has previously distributed Studio Colorido’s A Whisker Away on June 18, 2020.
