Selection Project has received its eighth character trailer, which previews the Kyūshū region and Okinawa representative Mako Toma. The eldest daughter of a large family, Mako tends to look after her younger siblings and has a love of music.
Selection Project is set to premiere in Japan and on Funimation on October 1. It is part of a multimedia project that includes a manga. The story follows a group of girls who are participants in the seventh iteration of the titular idol audition/reality show.
The staff includes Daisuke Hiramaki (Asteroid in Love) as director, Yūya Takahashi (Laughing Under the Clouds) as series composer, Kanna Hirayama (Rent-a-Girlfriend) as character designer, Studio Eater’s Yūta Sakashita (Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater) as art director, Kei Ishiguro (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle) as color designer, Go Takehiro (Ikebukuro West Gate Park) as photography director, and Stray Cats’ Yōhei Kisara (Azur Lane) as music producer. Doga Kobo is in charge of the animation production, while Dandelion is credited with the CG production.
Meanwhile, Selection Project‘s cast includes Hinaki Yano as Suzune Miyama, Saku Mizuno as Rena Hananoi, Nozomi Nagumo as Hiromi Hamaguri, Ruri Arai as Nagisa Imau, Hina Youmiya as Nodoka Yagi, Yuka Iwahashi as Ao Yodogawa, Mizuna Shirakawa as Uta Koizumi, Miharu Hanai as Shiori Yamaga, and Shino Shimoji as Mako Toma.
