The second season of The Demon Girl Next Door (Machikado Mazoku 2chome) has received a teaser visual, depicting returning characters Yuko Yoshida, Momo Chiyoda, Mikan Hinatsuki, and Lilith. The anime is set to premiere in April 2022.
The second season was announced back in August 2020. An announcement trailer, which saw magical girl Momo informing the titular demon girl Yuko/Shamiko about the second season in a dream, was released at that time.
The first season of The Demon Girl Next Door aired in 2019 from July to September. It is based on the ongoing 4-koma manga by Izumo Itō, which began in 2014 and has been collected into six volumes as of February 2021.
HiDive describes the show as:
Yuko Yoshida is just an ordinary schoolgirl — until Lilith unleashes her dormant, devilish powers. Now Yuko must defeat Momo Chiyoda, the shrine maiden of the Light Clan who just so happens to go to her school!
Season one’s staff includes Hiroaki Sakurai as director, Ōchi Keiichirō as series composer, Mai Ōtsuka as character designer, Studio Uni’s Shinji Kawai as art director, Asuka Hino as color designer, Yoshio Ōkōchi as photography director, and Miki Sakurai as music composer. J.C.Staff produced the show.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Konomi Kohara as Yuko, Akari Kitō as Momo, Minami Takahashi as Lilith, Tomoyo Takayanagi as Mikan Hinatsuki, Hitomi Ōwada as Ryoko Yoshida, and Sayaka Ōhara as Seiko Yoshida.
