Princess Principal: Crown Handler Chapter 3 In Production

The third installment of the six-part Princess Principal: Crown Handler film series is currently in production.

The announcement was made at the end of Princess Principal: Crown Handler Chapter 2, with Princess Principal: Crown Handler Chapter 3‘s logo being displayed. Chapter 2 premiered in Japan on September 23.

The movies serve as sequels to the 2017 Princess Principal series, which follows a team of spies during the end of an alternate steampunk 19th century. The show takes place in the Kingdom of Albion, which was divided into the Kingdom in the east and the Commonwealth in the west after a revolution, with a giant wall separating the two. 

Chapter 2 sees the spies attempting to recover a stolen bomb that was brought into the Kingdom, while the Kingdom’s royal family faces danger as the young prince Richard is shot during his return to the country.

The first and second Crown Handler movies’ staff include Masaki Tachibana as director, Kimitake Nishio as chief animation director, Nishio and Yukie Akiya as character designers, Miho Sugiura as art director, Yū Wakabayashi as photography director, Yūko Tsumori as color designer, and Yuki Kajiura as music composer. Actas is in charge of the animation production. 

The main cast includes Aoi Koga as Ange, Akira Sekine as Princess, Yō Taichi as Dorothy, Akari Kageyama as Beatrice, and Nozomi Furuki as Chise. Chapter 2 also includes Teruyuki Tanzawa as Prince Edward, Rina Endō as Princess Mary, and Kazuyuki Okitsu as Prince Richard.
