That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is getting an anime movie, which will release in Fall 2022. The news comes following the end of the Summer 2021 anime season’s That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime 2nd Season Part 2.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is based on the manga by Taiki Kawakami, which is based on the light novel series written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. The manga began in 2015 and has 18 tankōbon volumes as of July 2021. The story originated as a web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narou.
Crunchyroll describes the anime as:
Corporate worker Mikami Satoru is stabbed by a random killer, and is reborn to an alternate world. But he turns out to be reborn a slime! Thrown into this new world with the name Rimuru, he begins his quest to create a world that’s welcoming to all races.
Season 2 Part 2’s staff includes Atsushi Nakayama as director, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu as series composer, Ryōma Ebata as character designer, Takahiro Kishida as monster designer, Ayumu Satō as art director, Maki Saitō as color designer, Hiroshi Satō as photography director, Yūji Haibara as graphic designer, and Elements Garden as music composer. Eight Bit is the animation production company.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Miho Okasaki as Rimuru Tempest, Megumi Toyoguchi as Greatsage, Tomoaki Maeno as Veldora, Makoto Furukawa as Benimaru, Sayaka Senbongi as Shuna, M.A.O as Shion, Takuya Eguchi as Sōei, Hōchū Ōtsuka as Hakuro, and Rina Hidaka as Milim.
