Mieruko-chan Anime To Premiere October 3

The upcoming Mieruko-chan horror-comedy anime is set to premiere on October 3 in Japan. The October release window was previously revealed in July with a trailer.

Mieruko-chan follows Miko Yotsuya, a girl who can see hideous ghosts. Miko tries to ignore the ghosts despite constantly coming across them.

The staff includes Yuki Ogawa (Ishuzoku Reviewers) as the director, Kenta Ihara (Shachibato! President, It’s Time for Battle!) as the series composer and scriptwriter, Chikashi Kadekaru (Scared Rider Xechs) as the character designer and one of the six chief animation directors, Makoto Uno (Ishuzoku Reviewers character designer) as one of the ghost designers, KUSANAGI’s Ayano Okamoto (HYPNOSISMIC –Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima) as the art director, and Ritsuko Utagawa (MEGALOBOX 2: NOMAD) as the color designer. Passione is the animation production studio.   

Meanwhile, the cast includes Sora Amamiya as Miko, Kaede Hondo as Hana Yurikawa, and Ayane Sakura as Yuria Nigureda. 

The anime is based on the ongoing Kadokawa-published manga by Tomoki Izumi, which began in 2018 and has five tankōbon volumes as of March 2021.
