“Selection Heroine” Music Video for Upcoming Selection Project Anime Released

The upcoming SELECTION PROJECT “idol x audition x reality show” anime has received a music video featuring the image song “SELECTION HEROINE.” A “SELECTION HEROINE” dance practice video by the unit 9-tie, which is composed of the nine main cast members, was also released.

Additionally, it was announced that a commemoration event for the anime’s main theme CD release will be held on August 30. Meanwhile, a live performance with the name “SELECTION PROJECT 1st Live ~Cheer for you!~” will be held in Tokyo’s Zepp Haneda venue on January 30, 2022.

SELECTION PROJECT is set to premiere in Japan in October. The story revolves around the titular Selection Project, an idol audition-slash-reality show that is gaining popularity both in and outside Japan. In order to fulfill her dream, Suzune, who is in her last summer of middle school, decides to participate in the seventh iteration of the Selection Project.

The staff includes Daisuke Hiramaki (Asteroid in Love) as director, Yūya Takahashi (Laughing Under the Clouds) as series composer, Kanna Hirayama (Rent-a-Girlfriend) as character designer, Studio Eater’s Yūta Sakashita (Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater) as art director, Kei Ishiguro (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle) as color designer, Go Takehiro (Ikebukuro West Gate Park) as photography director, and Stray Cats’ Yōhei Kisara (Azur Lane) as music producer. Doga Kobo is in charge of the animation production, while Dandelion is credited with the CG production.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Hinaki Yano as Suzune Miyama, Saku Mizuno as Rena Hananoi, Nozomi Nagumo as Hiromi Hamaguri, Ruri Arai as Nagisa Imau, Hina Youmiya as Nodoka Yagi, Yuka Iwahashi as Ao Yodogawa, Mizuna Shirakawa as Uta Koizumi, Miharu Hanai as Shiori Yamaga, and Shino Shimoji as Mako Toma.
