The official website for the anime adaptation of Maiko Uchino’s Slow Loop manga revealed a promotional video, new visual, main cast, and additional staff for the anime. The anime is set to premiere in January 2022.
Newly announced staff members include Geisei Morita (ORESUKI: Are you the only one who loves me?) as assistant director, Takumi Shibata (Night is Short Second Key Animator) as fishing scene technical director, Kyota Washikita (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma) as cooking and effects animation director, Michiko Morokuma (Anonymous Noise, Kiss Him, Not Me) as art director at Studio TENJIN, Erika Tsukino (The Honor Student at Magic High School) as color key artist, Atsushi Satо̄ (Studio Shamrock) as director of photography, Toshirō Hamamura (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, Non Non Biyori) as 3D director at Wired, Maki Sendo (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) as editor, Masanori Tsuchiya (New Game!) as sound editor, and Takurō Iga (Asteroid in Love, Case File nº221: Kabukicho) as music composer at Flying Dog.
Previously announced staff members include Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman, ORESUKI) as director, Yuka Yamada (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid) as scriptwriter, and Shoko Takimoto (ORESUKI) as character designer and chief animation director. CONNECT is in charge of the animation production.
The cast includes Rin Kusumi as Hiyori Minagi, Natsumi Hioka as Koharu Minagi, and Tomomi Mineuchi as Koi Yoshinaga.
Slow Loop was first published as a one-shot manga in Manga Time Kirara Forward in April 2018. The manga then launched a full serialization in September 2018.

The Slow Loop manga centers on Hiyori, a girl who enjoys fly fishing by the beach, an activity passed down to her by her late father. On one typical day at the beach, she happens to meet Koharu, who happens to be her new stepsister from her mother’s new marriage.
