A new website launched to announce that an original short-form anime titled ‘Deji’ Meets Girl will premiere sometime in October. A promotional video and key visual for the anime was also revealed. The anime will have 90-second weekly episodes.
The anime’s staff includes Ushio Tazawa (The Place Promised in Our Early Days) as director and character designer, Akane Malbeni (Side-By-Side Dreamers) as original character designer and series script supervisor, Norifumi Okuno (Tsugumomo) and Kaori Akatsu (Killing Bites) as prop designers, Miu Miyamoto (Doraemon) as art director, Kunio Tsujita (Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon) as color key artist, Yoshimasa Yamazaki (FLCL) as 3D director, Mitsuyoshi Yamamoto as compositing director of photography, Kiyomi Yamada (Fairy gone) (EditZ) as editor, Ryousuke Naya (Drug Store in Another World – The Slow Life of a Cheat Pharmacist) as sound director at Studio Mouse, and Hiroshi Nakamura as music composer. The original story is credited to “Naminoue Seinendan.” The animation production will be from LIDEN FILMS.
The anime’s story begins when Maise Higa, a first-year high school girl who works part-time at her family’s hotel in Okinawa meets Ichirō Suzuki, a mysterious teenager who arrived from Tokyo as a hotel guest. Upon his arrival, strange things begin to happen in the hotel.
