The official Twitter account for Blue Reflection Ray, the anime adaptation of Gust’s Blue Reflection (Blue Reflection – Maboroshi ni Mau Shōjo no Ken) role-playing game, revealed a new promotional video for the anime’s upcoming second cour. The Twitter account also revealed that ACCAMER will perform the anime’s new ending theme song “fluoresce.” The video previews the new song as well as Eir Aoi’s new opening theme song “Atokku.” The anime premiered on April 9.
The anime’s staff includes Risako Yoshida (The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc) as director, Akiko Waba (KIMIMOTE) as series composer, and Daisuke Shinoda (Angelique Luminarise game) as music composer. Kouichi Kikuta (Tamayomi: The Baseball Girls) is designing the characters for the anime based on designs by Mel Kishida (BLUE REFLECTION game). J.CStaff is in charge of the animation production.
The cast includes Manaka Iwami as Hiori Hirahara, Haruka Chisuga as Ruka Hanari, Yuka Takakura as Momo Tanabe, Hitomi Ōwada as Miyako Shirakaba, Reina Ueda as Mio Uehara, Nina Tamaki as Nina Hamada, Rui Tanabe as Uta Komagawa, and Shiori Izawa as Shino Mizusaki.
The BLUE REFLECTION JRPG was developed by Gust and published by Koei Tecmo. The video game was released in 2017 on PS4 and Steam. It was also released for the PS Vita in Japan.
