New Trailer For Battle In 5 Seconds After Meeting Released

The upcoming Battle In 5 Seconds After Meeting (Deatte 5-byou de Battle) anime has received its second PV, which shows off more of the mysterious Mion and previews the voices of several characters. The trailer also previews the opening song “No Continue” by Akari Kitō. 

The super power action anime is set to premiere on July 12. It is based on the manga by Kashiwa Miyako, which is in turn a remake of a web manga by Saizō Harawata. The remake is published on Ura Sunday and has 16 volumes as of March 2021.

The staff includes Meigo Naito (Princess Principal) as chief director, Nobuyoshi Arai (Banana Fish) as director, Tomokatsu Nagasaku (Show By Rock!!) and Ikuo Yamakado (In Search of the Lost Future) as character designers, and Tōko Machida (High-Rise Invasion, Lucky Star) as scriptwriter. Synergy SP and Vega Entertainment are in charge of the animation production, with Studio A-Cat handling the CG.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Ayumu Murase as Akira Shiroyanagi, Aimi as Yuri Amagake, Mayumi Shintani as Mion, Kazuya Nakai as Madoka Kirisaki, Yuichi Nakamura as Shin Kumagiri, Miyuri Shimabukuro as Ringo Tatara, and Akari Kitō as Yan.

Battle In 5 Seconds After Meeting follows the game and sweets-loving high school student Akira, who suddenly gets involved in a battle one day due to a mysterious girl who calls herself Mion. Akira and other several other people are told that they are removed from their respective family registers, will become part of an experiment, and will be given special powers. Akira becomes determined to win the game with his powers and to destroy the organization.
