The official website for the Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story TV anime announced that the anime’s second season will premiere sometime this summer. A new key visual was also revealed.
The anime’s staff includes Gekidan Inu Curry (Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story) as both the chief director and series script supervisor, Yukihiro Miyamoto (Puella Magi Madoka Magica series director) as assistant director, Junichirō Taniguchi (Madoka Magica chief animation director) as director and character designer, and Akiyuki Simbo (Puella Magi Madoka Magica director)as animation supervisor. Takumi Ozawa is composing the music. Studio SHAFT is producing the anime.
The anime’s first season premiered on January 4, 2020 with 13 episodes. Funimation, Crunchyroll, and HIDIVE streamed the first season as it aired. Crunchyroll describes the anime as:
