Netflix announced on Twitter that Godzilla Singular Point will release outside of Japan on June 24. Netflix released the 13-episode anime series in Japan on March 25, with the series later premiering on television on April 1.
The anime’s staff includes Atsushi Takahashi (Blue Exorcist) as director, Kan Sawada (Doraemon) as music composer, Eiji Yamamori (Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, The Wind Rises) as monster designer, Kazue Kato (Blue Exorcist) as character designer, and Toh Enjoe (The Empire of Corpses’) as series composer. Studio Bones, in partnership with Orange, will produce the anime series.
The idol group BiSH will perform the anime’s opening theme song “in case…,” and the rock band POLKADOT STINGRAY will perform its ending theme song “Aoi” (“Blue”).
The series depicts the young geniuses Mei Kamino, a researcher, and Yun Arikawa, an engineer, as they take on an unprecedented threat with their companions.
