Netflix released a new key visual art and trailer for Yasuke. The anime series will debut worldwide on April 29. MAPPA is in charge of the animation production with LeSean Thomas as director, creator, and executive producer.
Key staff includes Takeshi Koike as character designer, Flying Lotus as music composer and executive producer, Satoshi Iwataki as chief animator, Takeshi Sato as director chief, Junichi Higashi as art director, Azusa Sasaki as color designer, Kenichi Shima as sub-character designer, Minoru Nishida as world view and art settings designer, Ikuki Nomoto as 3DCG director, Takyashoi Park as cinematographer, and Mutsumi Takemiya as editor.
The main Japanese cast includes Jun Soejima as Yasuke, Takehiro Hira as Nobunaga Oda, Yoshiko Tamura as Saki, Yoshiko Sakakibara as Daimyo of Darkness, Fusako Urabe as Natsumaru, Shigeru Ushiyama as Abraham, Yu Kamio as Mamoru, Eri Kitamura as Ishikawa, Kenji Kitamura as Achoja, Shunsuke Kubozuka as Hart, Hiroki Nanami as Nikita, and Rie Tanaka as Ichika.

In a war-torn feudal Japan filled with mechs and magic, the greatest ronin never known, Yasuke, struggles to maintain a peaceful existence after a past life of violence. But when a local village becomes the center of social upheaval between warring daimyo, Yasuke must take up his sword and transport a mysterious child who is the target of dark forces and bloodthirsty warlords.The story of Yasuke, the first African samurai who actually served the legendary Oda Nobunaga, will be released to the world.
