EDENS ZERO to Stream on Netflix in Fall 2021

The official Twitter account for the anime series EDENS ZERO announced that it will stream outside of Japan on Netflix in Fall 2021. New episodes are currently released weekly in Japan. 

Takanori Nishikawa will perform the opening theme song titled “Eden through the rough” and CHiCO with HoneyWorks will perform the ending theme song titled “Adventure VLOG” (“冒険のVLOG”).

J.C.Staff is in charge of the animation production with Shinji Ishihara (Log Lorizon director) as chief director, Yushi Suzuki (Talentless Nana) as director, Mitsutaka Hirota (Rent-a-Girlfriend) as series composer and script writer, and Yoshihisa Hirano (Death Note, Hunter x Hunter) as music composer.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Takuma Terashima (The Ones Within’s Makino Aikawa) as Shiki Granbell, Mikako Komatsu (Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon‘s Setsuna) as Rebecca Bluegarden, and Rie Kugimiya (Fairy Tail series’ Happy) as Happy.  

The anime adaptation is based on the manga written by Fairy Tail’s author Hiro Mashima. Kodansha USA is publishing the manga in English.

Netflix describes the series as:

It is the year X492, an age in which people freely travel through the universe. Rebecca, a video-creating B-Cuber, visits the robotic world of Granbell and meets a young man with special powers: Shiki, who’s lived his entire life among machines. Soon Shiki is exploring the cosmos with Rebecca, encountering new places, people and things, and making friends along the way. Join in the adventure starting in 2021 on Netflix.
