The official website for CloverWorks’ Wonder Egg Priority announced that the original anime will receive a “Special Edition” broadcast on June 29 titled Wonder Egg Priority Special Edition. A promotional video was also revealed. The special edition is a continuation of the anime’s 12th episode which aired earlier today, and will serve as the story’s conclusion.
The anime’s staff members include Shin Wakabayashi (22/7: The Diary of Our Days), as the director, taracod as the concept artist, Yuta Yamazaki (Love Rice) as assistant director, Yusuke Kawakami (SSSS.Gridman) as the action director, Keisuke Kobayashi (I want to eat your pancreas, Anohana) as core animator, Iori Hisatake (Mob Psycho 100 II) as guest character designer, and DE DE MOUSE and Clammbon bassist Mito as music composers. Shinji Nojima (Homeless Child) serves as the scriptwriter, and Saki Takahashi (Her Blue Sky) as the character designer and the chief animation director. Hiroyuki Ueno (NTV) and Nobuhiro Nakayama (Aniplex) are the planning producers.
The anime’s cast includes Kanata Aikawa as Ai Ohto, Tomori Kusunoki as Neiru Aonuma, Shuka Saito as Rika Kawai, and Hinaki Yano as Momoe Sawaki.
Wonder Egg Priority premiered on January 12. Funimation streams the anime as it airs, and describes the story as:
This is the story of Ai, an introverted girl whose fate is forever changed when she acquires a mysterious “Wonder Egg” from a deserted arcade. That night, her dreams blend into reality, and as other girls obtain their own Wonder Eggs, Ai discovers new friends—and the magic within herself.
