During the Anime Japan 2021 live stream, a new visual for the second cour of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 was revealed. The second part will begin this July.

Additionally, it was also announced during the stage event that the franchise will receive a new 3D role-playing game on mobile devices titled That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Saga of How the Demon Lord and Dragon Founded a Nation (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Maō to Ryū no Kenkoku-tan). The game is set to release sometime this year. The game will also be free-to-play and will have a closed-beta test prior to its launch.
The anime’s second season premiered on January 12. Crunchyroll streams the anime as it airs in Japan and describes the series as:
Corporate worker Mikami Satoru is stabbed by a random killer, and is reborn to an alternate world. But he turns out to be reborn a slime!
Thrown into this new world with the name Rimuru, he begins his quest to create a world that’s welcoming to all races.
