During Anime Japan 2021, SSSS.DYNAZENON received a new preview trailer and key visual. Studio TRIGGER is in charge of the animation production. The series is a follow-up to the anime series SSSS.GRIDMAN.
Funimation also confirmed it will exclusively stream the series. It will also be available on AnimeLab and Wakanim. Details about the series was also revealed.
Funimation describes the series as:
One day, Yomogi Asanaka, a first-year student at Fujiyokidai High School, runs into a mysterious man named Gauma who claims to be a “kaiju user.”
The sudden appearane of a kaiju is followed by the entry of the gigantic robot, Dynazenon. In the wrong place at the wrong time are Yume Minami, Koyomi Yamanaka, and Chise Asukagawa, who are dragged into the fight against the kaiju.

Several key staff from SSSS.GRIDMAN are reprising their roles in SSSS.DYNAZENON, such as Akira Amemiya as director, Keiichi Hasegawa as scriptwriter, Masaru Sakamoto as character designer, and Shiro Sagisu as music composer. Tsuyoshi Nonaka, who was the assistant weapon designer on SSSS.GRIDMAN, is the Dynazenon designer.
Graphinica is once again handling the 3DCG animation, with Shinichi Miyakaze returning as 3DCG chief director. Other Graphinica staff in SSSS.DYNAZENON include Kouji Ichikawa (Blade of the Immortal) as 3DCG director and Katsunori Shiradou (SSSS.GRIDMAN) as photography director.
Meanwhile, the main cast members include cast members include Daiki Hamano as Gauma, Junya Enoki as Yomogi Asanaka, Shion Wakayama as Yume Minami, Yuuichirou Umehara as Koyomi Yamanaka, and Chika Anzai as Chise Asukagawa.
