The upcoming Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya Licht – Namae no Nai Shōjjo (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya: Licht – Nameless Girl) movie is set to premiere in summer 2021. The news was announced via a new 30 second trailer.

The staff includes Shin Oonuma as director, Kenji Inoue and Hazuki Minase as scriptwriters, and Kazuya Hirata as character designer. All of them have previously been involved with the Fate/kaleid series. SILVER LINK is in charge of the animation production.

The Ainsworth family that Illya and her friends battled against in 3rei!! seeks to save the world by sacrificing deuteragonist Miyu, while Miyu’s adoptive brother Shirou is willing to make an enemy of the world in order to protect her. Faced with these two conflicting forms of “justice,” Illya tries to find a solution that will require neither the sacrifice of the world nor Miyu.

The Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA ILLYA series is a magical girl spin-off of the Fate series that is based on the manga by Hiroshi Hiroyama. The manga began in 2007, while the first season of the anime adaptation was released in 2013. 2017 saw the release of the prequel movie Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya Movie: Oath Under Snow.

Crunchyroll describes the first season as:

Illya (Illyasviel von Einzbern) is a typical young girl attending Homurabara Academy who just happens to have a slight crush on her brother-in-law. Then, one night, a magic wand called Magical Ruby falls from the sky into her bath and tricks her into signing a contract…
