Demon Slayer Mugen Train Movie Coming April 23 to North America

Aniplex of America and Funimation announced they will release Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train in theaters across North America on April 23. The film will be available in both English dub and subtitles.

The film will then be available for purchase beginning June 22 on Apple TV, Microsoft Store, Vudu, Google Play, PlayStation Store, and Amazon. 

Mugen Train became the highest grossing film in Japan, surpassing Spirited Away late last year. The film is a sequel to the TV anime adaptation in 2019. An anime sequel to the movie titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc, has been announced for 2021. 

Ufotable is in charge of the animation production with Haruo Sotozaki as the director. The manga series is written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge and was serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. 

Aniplex of America describes the most recent film as: 

Tanjiro and the group have completed their rehabilitation training at the Butterfly Mansion, and they arrive at their next mission on the Mugen Train, where over forty people have disappeared in a very short span of time.

Tanjiro and Nezuko, along with Zenitsu and Inosuke, join one of the most powerful swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, to face the demon aboard the Mugen Train.
