The official website and Twitter account for the anime film adaptation of Kanako Nishi’s Gyokō no Nikuko-chan (Nikuko of the Fishing Harbor) novel posted a new trailer for the upcoming film and revealed its June 11th premiere date. Additionally, the film’s website announced that Shinobu Ōtake will voice the main character Nikuko and that Natsuki Hanae will voice a major role of a young boy in the film.
The anime’s staff includes Ayumu Watanabe (Children of the Sea) as director, Satomi Ooshima (Hataraki Man) as scriptwriter, Kenichi Konishi (Children of the Sea) as character designer and chief animation director, and Sanma Akashiya (Santa Claus Tsukamaeta!) as producer. The animation production will be from Studio 4°C, and ASMIK Ace is distributing the film.
