The upcoming Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time movie (Shin Evangelion Gekijō-ban :||) has received a new March 8 release date. The IMAX, MX4D, and 4DX screenings will all be available on the same day. Additionally, two updated trailers displaying the new release date were also released.

The previous January 23 release date was itself the result of a delay, with the film originally scheduled to open in Japan on June 27, 2020.
The staff also announced that three million leaflets featuring an exclusive illustration of Asuka by chief animation director Atsushi Nishigori will be handed out during the March 8 screening.
