Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal Movie Gets New Promo Video Featuring Chibiusa and Helios

The first part of the upcoming two-part Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal movie received a new promotional video featuring Chibiusa and Helios. The first part is due to release on January 8, while the second part will release on February 11, 2021.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal, the first theatrical Sailor Moon movie in 25 years, will serve as the fourth season of Sailor Moon Crystal, an ONA series that debuted in 2014. The movie is based on the “Dead Moon” arc of the Sailor Moon manga by Naoko Takeuchi, who is credited as original creator and supervisor for the movie. The movie was originally meant to release in 2020 but was postponed due to COVID-19.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal‘s staff includes Chiaki Kon (Sailor Moon Crystal Season 3) as director, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Is the Order a RabbitBLOOM) as scriptwriter, Kazuko Tadano (Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens) as character designer, and Yasuhara Takanashi (Talentless Nana) as music composer. Momoiro Clover Z and the voice actors of Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus are performing the theme song “Moonlight Chainon.” Toei Animation and Studio Deen are in charge of animation production. 

As reported by Anime News Network, the main cast from the series are reprising their roles. Joining them are Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Sword Art Online) as Helios/Pegasus, Shouta Aoi (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!) as Fish Eye, Satoshi Hino (Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train) as Tiger’s Eye, Toshiyuki Toyonaga (Run with the Wind) as Hawk’s Eye, Yuuko Hara (Beastars) as JunJun, Reina Ueda (SSSS.Gridman) as CereCere, Sumire Morohoshi (BNA) as PallaPalla, and Rie Takahashi (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season) as VesVes

Other new cast members include Naomi Watanabe (The Promised Neverland live action movie) as Zirconia and Nanao (One Piece Film: Gold) as Queen Nehellenia.
