Crunchyroll announced that it will stream Dr. STONE: Stone Wars (Season 2) beginning January 14, 2021. The platform also released the subtitled preview trailer featuring new characters, the opening and ending theme artist, and release date.
TMS Entertainment is returning to animate the series. Shinya Iino and Yuichiro Kido are returning as director and series composer respectively. Yuko Iwasa is also returning as chracter designer. Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Tatsuya Kato, and Yuki Kanesaka are also returning as the music composers.
The anime adaptation is based on the popular Weekly Shonen Jump manga written by Riichirou Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi. Viz Media is publishing the manga in English in print and on digital via Shonen Jump with the latest chapter 177. MangaPlus by Shueisha is also publishing the manga digitally.
Dr. STONE premiered in July 2019 on Crunchyroll and received a dub from Funimation.
