Netflix Indonesia and Philippines announced that it will stream Attack on Titan: The Final Season beginning December 10 and 11 respectively. The TV broadcast begins December 7 in Japan.
MAPPA is in charge of the animation production, taking over from Wit Studio. Wit Studio animated Season 1 through 3 of Attack on Titan. Key staff includes Jun Shishido as chief director, Yuichiro Hayashi as director, Hiroshi Seko as series composer, Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto as music composer, Tomohiro Kishi as character designer, and Kazuo Ogura as art director.
The anime adaptation is based on the popular manga series by Hajime Isayama published in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine by Kodansha. Kodansha Comics is publishing the manga in English with Volume 32 scheduled for December 22, 2020.
Crunchyroll and Funimation will stream the anime outside of Asia.

For the past 100 years, humanity has lived within giant walls to protect itself from the Titans, giant lumbering beasts with a taste for human flesh. When the Titans suddenly smash through the wall, it forever changes the destinies of Eren, Mikasa and Armin, three childhood friends who sign up to try to defeat the Titans once and for all.
