Toei And Others To Launch YouTube Anime Channel

Several anime service providers, including Toei Animation and Kodansha, are collaborating on a YouTube channel called Animelog, or Anilog for short.

As reported by Variety, the companies plan to provide 3000 anime titles from 30 companies by 2022. The YouTube channel’s launch content includes Black Jack and Future Boy Conan

Analyzelog, the company behind the YouTube channel’s launch, said in a statement:

There exists a problem of illegal video distribution service these days, but “AnimeLog” will distribute only officially-licensed animations and operate as a safe channel that families can enjoy together.

The content is currently only available in Japan, but there are plans to provide English-subtitled and Chinese-subtitled content for overseas audiences.
