“The Wonderland” Hosts Virtual Cinema Screening Starting May 1st

ELEVEN ARTS, a US-based anime and Japanese film distributor, announced The Wonderland will be available through virtual cinema screening beginning May 1st. The distributor previously announced Sound! Euphonium The Movie – Our Promise A Brand New Day under the same initiative.   

Both movies are available to fans in the United States. 

The Wonderland screened in Japan on 2019 April 26 and received a limited US theatrical release early this year. Originally based on a childen story, the film is directed by Keiichi Hara and character designs by Ilya Kuvshinov. 

ELEVEN ARTS describes the film as: 

On the day before her birthday, young Akane meets the mysterious alchemist Hippocrates who brings her through a basement and into a fantastical world full of magic and color. He reveals that this world is in danger, and as the “Green Goddess” it is her destiny and responsibility to save this world. The only problem? Akane just wants to go home.
