“My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising” Movie Hits US, Canadian Theaters 26 February

Funimation announced the release date for My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising film in the United States and Canada. The theatrical release begins screening on 26 February. 

Funimation describes the film as:

Class 1-A visits Nabu Island where they finally get to do real hero work. The place is so peaceful that it’s more like a vacation … until they’re attacked by a villain with an eerily familiar Quirk! Now, Deku and his friends are the island’s only hope.

The film debuted in Japan this past 20 December and grossed over 1.1 billion yen (about US $10.45 million) by 5 January. 

My Hero Academia film, Two Heroes, the previous film set between season two and three of the series, was released on 25 September 2018 in US theaters with a US premiere during Anime Expo 2018.

Based on the hit shonen series by Kohei Horikoshi, studio BONES is animating the film and ongoing TV anime series. The fourth season is currently ongoing since 12 October 2019 with simulcast on Funimation and Crunchyroll.
